From what I've seen, it also forces people to risk injury by doing things beyond their personal ability. But that's not the issue here.

I agree with the idea of bringing over/ encouraging over some of the said traceurs and setting up classes with the instructors. Then the instructors could go back to their home cities and spread what knowledge they have learned much more effectivly. Sounds a lot like the bible but it worked didnt it? (definitely not saying these guys are the jesus of parkour).

When i go to natjams i dont go to necessarily train myself. I go to watch other traceurs, not to see them do "mad shiz" but to watch their movements, and learn so that when i can go home, i have the proper technique in my head and i can teach myself. As PKtouchme said, you dont need to teach to help people learn.

My 2cents for what its worth...

I heard a few people say at Natjam this year that it was boring and shit, but I'd have to say that it was one of the better Natjam's purely because of the socializing.

Well, I loved the social aspect of the nat jam personally. The only two things about nat jam that I'd change would be fucking my ankle on the first day and one other thing that was nothing to do with how it was organised.

If there was gonna be someone brought over for lessons, ideally I'd say it should be as far away from the Nat Jam as possible, to spread travelling out for any possible out-of-state-rs. Lessons and jams are two very different things, and they both serve different needs for traceurs. Or maybe having them on different days of the same weekend, that'd be a grand idea and it'd save an airfare.

I really enjoyed the NatMeat this year. Met a lot of really great people from all over Aus and did some good training as well. The secret to enjoying NatMeat was to just walk away whenever the trickers discovered a brand-new picnic table, and to ignore anybody in black jeans.
